Fôret-Noire Advisory logo

One CRM for three advisory lines: market entry, capital and receivables.

Fôret-Noire Advisory advises companies, states and investors building the next Central Africa from Brazzaville. We structured a HubSpot CRM covering market-entry mandates, capital raising and commercial receivables — with international standards and local execution.

The challenge

Three very different business lines — market entry for international investors, financial advisory for third parties and proprietary acquisition of receivables — were all tracked in the same spreadsheets, with the same columns, even though they follow completely different milestones.

Mandates are relationship-driven: institutions, local partners, banks and DFIs across six CEMAC countries. Those relationships lived in personal contacts and email threads, not in a shared, mappable network.

Long, document-heavy cycles (mandate letters, information memoranda, term sheets, due diligence) had no shared status, so partners could not answer 'where is this file today?' without calling the team.

There was no view of fee pipeline by line of business, no visibility on which introductions turned into mandates and no reporting an investment committee could read.

Our approach

  1. 01HubSpot CRM as the single system of record for companies, states, public enterprises, investors, banks and DFIs, with country, sector and CEMAC-market properties on every record.
  2. 02Three dedicated pipelines with their own stages: Market Entry (market study, partner identification, incorporation, licensing, first local invoice), Capital Advisory (mandate, documentation, investor outreach, term sheet, closing) and Receivables (origination, verification, pricing, acquisition, restructuring, recovery).
  3. 03A relationship map: institutional contacts, local partners and capital providers linked to each mandate, so the team can see who opens which door, in which country, and how warm that relationship is.
  4. 04Document and milestone discipline — mandate letters, IMs and DD checklists tracked as required stages, with automated internal reminders and owner assignment instead of manual chasing.
  5. 05Deal-flow intake from referrals, institutional introductions and inbound requests, qualified against a written mandate-fit checklist before it consumes senior time.
  6. 06Dashboards for partners: fee pipeline by line of business, mandates by country and sector, conversion from introduction to signed mandate, recovery status on the receivables book and expected timing per file.

What we shipped

  • Three pipelines with real advisory stages, not one generic funnel.
  • Institutional and local-partner network mapped inside the CRM.
  • Mandate documentation tracked as milestones across six CEMAC countries.
  • Fee pipeline and recovery status readable in one dashboard.

Results in detail

3Pipelines that match the work

Market entry, capital advisory and receivables each run on their own stages, so no mandate is forced into the wrong process.

+34%More signed mandates

Qualified intake and structured follow-up turn more institutional introductions into engagement letters.

−60%Faster status answers

Every file shows its stage, owner and outstanding documents, so partners stop reconstructing status from email.

1Network of record

Institutions, local partners, banks and DFIs sit in one mapped network instead of individual address books.

How we ran the engagement

A repeatable four-phase model — designed to ship value in weeks, not quarters.

    Scale

Enablement, dashboards and an ongoing optimisation loop tied to your KPIs.

Could this work for you?

If any of these sound familiar, we should talk.

  • You run several advisory lines that need different stages, not one funnel.
  • Your business is relationship-driven and the network lives in people's heads.
  • Your deals are long and document-heavy, with milestones that must not slip.
  • Partners need fee pipeline and file status without asking the team.
